Geoffrey Multimedia is a website design and development business owned and operated by Edwin James Lynch.
Edwin has 25 years experience developing websites, including 10 years of teaching web design, development and online marketing at Curtin University. He has worked on large-scale government websites, project managed web teams and has taught web development to thousands of students and programmers.
Transparent Pricing
At Geoffrey, the focus is on providing a personalized, affordable web design service to clients. To this end, we limit the number of projects we take on in order to provide the best possible service to clients.
Timescale
Websites typically take between two to eight weeks to build, depending on the size of the project.
For clients in a rush, we can set up a lead-generation landing page (for Google Ads) while working on your fully functional website with On-page SEO and great content.
New Websites
10 Step Web Design Process
The website design process at Geoffrey Multimedia is pretty simple.
1. Needs analysis
The client meets with a professional web developer and SEO expert to discuss their website requirements. This initial consultation is free of charge and can be conducted in person, via email, Zoom, or on the phone.2. Home page mockup
Based on the client's brief, a mockup of the potential home page is created and sent via email. The client can provide feedback on the design, including constructive criticism. Upon approval of this design, the client then pays a deposit (40% of budget) which allows us to purchase what we need to get your site realised.3. Content analysis
The client provides all the content they want included on the website, including images, videos, audio, text, and a list of proposed site structure. This helps the designer understand the client's desired functionality, feel, and imagery for the website.4. Proposal and deposit invoice
The designer sends a proposal explaining the work to be done and an itemized list of prices for additional services discussed. A deposit invoice is also provided. Payment is typically made in three installments: 40% up front, 30% when the designer is satisfied with the work, and 30% when the client is satisfied.5. Server access
The designer may need access to the client's CMS admin or hosting server to install and set up necessary software, such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.6. Website development
The website is built and tested.7. Review and approval
The client reviews and approves the website.8. Final payment
The final payment is made upon the client's approval of the website.9. Launch
The website is launched and made live.10. Maintenance
The website is maintained and updated as needed.
Old Websites (>2yrs)
We can overhaul and add content to any website, no matter when it was built.
Having said that, it is often cheaper to rebuild a new website using the latest code and CSS frameworks. You can bring old content up to date with new content rewriting tools such as ChatGPT (AI).
We have recently been using AI (Artificial Intelligence) to rewrite content for clients and the (measurable) traffic and new client engagement results are astounding.

Who We Are
Geoffrey is a business owned and run by Edwin James Lynch, who holds a degree in Communication and a diploma in Multimedia. In the past, Edwin taught web design, development, and online marketing at various universities in Western Australia. He collaborates with copywriters, programmers, and other specialists, but likes to work independently.
