While we’re waiting for Geoff to appear – and believe us, he will – let us consider the following meditative moment brought to us by more archived, creative-commons type material (see last entry for more details).
Mr Trivia
Hi folks,
Wanna make a film but can’t be bothered auditioning actors or finding crew? Or perhaps you’re a bit of a shut-in and don’t venture outside until the hours of darkness. Whatever, now you with the aid of the internet and the appropriate software and a computer much like the one you’re using now, you can make your movie!

Duncan Thompson is one name that consistently appears in the development credits of Australia’s most successful films. He ran Aurora (script workshops) for many years and has played a part in developing many of Australia’s most successful screenplays including Japanese Story, Little Fish, Somersault and, more recently, The Black Balloon. He now runs the Sydney-based International Film School. Duncan gave a scintillating talk at the Australian Writer’s Guild on the weekend. Well – it was more like a sermon. Albeit a very engaging and intriguing one.
Here he is. In a park this time.
Another week – yet another Shivering Geoff for ya!
The silly season is over. Memories of yesteryear.
Zeitgeisters,
Edwin and I are planning the New Year. He’s a big fan of using Freemind mind-mapping software to create a picture of his future. He’s visual (being a director) and it makes perfect sense for those who are. I’m basically Luddite (being a writer) and I like to see things written down on a piece of paper.
Somehow we’ll bring it altogether as we assemble 2009 for Geoffrey.com.au. Expect to see more Shivering Geoff, Shivering Geoff -Series 2 and some new features: The Lawnmower Diaries, Donna’s Lovely Feet, and more on-line marketing for our on-line feature, Women of Various Ages.
Keep your eye out for the new stuff. Above is a word from our new sponsor.
Cheers, Mr Trivia
It’s funny to think that more people have seen my short films here on YouTube than have ever seen any at a cinema. 8 more episodes (this season) to go. Don’t forget to click on our sponsors to keep us afloat >>>>
Another week – another Shivering Geoff. He’s a fun guy.
