Steak and weddings in today’s ep.

Geoff fans check out the transcript.

Geoff is stuck behind a pane of glass. Watching.

Scouse Git:
Ooooh that was bloody good that steak!

Craig Rose:
No it wasn’t, mine was burnt

Scouse Git:
I love it well done – even just a tiny bit charcoal.

Craig Rose:
Nah I like mine mine a bit bloody

Scouse Git:
I hate it rare – makes me wanna vomit.

Craig Rose:
How’s Gill’?

Scouse Git:
Oh, she’s alright. Why – what have you heard?

Craig Rose:
I haven’t heard anything – I haven’t seen her for awhile. And the wedding’s not far

Scouse Git:
Oh come on…I don’t want to talk about the wedding tonight…

Craig Rose:
Fair enough – so how’s her sister, eh?

Scouse Git:
Hey, don’t be bloody disgusting – that’s my future sister-in-law you’re talking about.

Craig Rose:
Touchy aren’t you, son?

Scouse Git:
Shut your face, Craig, and go and get me another beer!

END

Under a table today…

Geoff fans – check out the transcript.

GEOFF waits under a table. A conversation between two women is in progress.

IT Tina:
So you didn’t like the buttons?

Gillian:
They’re fine.

IT Tina:
Hmmm?

Gillian:
Well, Geoff can’t see them clearly…

IT Tina:
But they’re rollovers…just roll over it….

Gillian:
Okay…

IT Tina:
Yeah they light up when you put your mouse on them.

Gillian:
They’re really nice.

IT Tina:
What about the information on this page?

Gillian:
It’s great.

IT Tina:
Good.

Gillian:
Geoff…can’t….

IT Tina:
(sighs)

Gillian:
Don’t worry about it…

IT Tina:
How long you been doing feng shui?

Gillian:
About three years. Studied at TAFE. A Chinese lady taught me.

IT Tina:
Hey…is it bad feng shui to have the front path of your house broken up by something?

Gillian:
Like what?

IT Tina:
I don’t know – a mirror fountain?

Gillian:
It’s really bad to break your path up with anything – especially a mirror

IT Tina:
(upset sound)

Gillian:
I’ll have a look over the weekend.

IT Tina:
Thanks

Hi folks,

Wanna make a film but can’t be bothered auditioning actors or finding crew? Or perhaps you’re a bit of a shut-in and don’t venture outside until the hours of darkness. Whatever, now you with the aid of the internet and the appropriate software and a computer much like the one you’re using now, you can make your movie!

But how, Mr Trivia? you ask. How can you Geoffrey! guys make my dream come true? Well, we’re only the conduits for this information. The heavy lifting has been done by the good people at archive.org. As it says on their site.

The Internet Archive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public.

There is a myriad of video and audio and even written material available there. Some of it is in thepublic domain and some of it has a creative commons license. Good folk like yourselves have uploaded the material to the archive and – providing one sticks by the rules – we can use this material in a variety of forms. It’s your opportunity to culturally mash-up the intellectual property of others and do so with their legal permission. Now there’s fun.

Much of the material is historical, newsreel or public information, however there are all kinds of gems like animations and features available for filmmakers who take the trouble to search the archive carefully.

Below is my attempt at collage-y goodness. It is of course deeply moving and almost impossible for others to understand – such is the nature of all truly great art. Why not go to archive.org directly and create some of your own brilliance using the sounds and images of other eras.

It’s better than say, decoupaging.

Mr Trivia
